Today by setting up a theme for the user portal we need to decide between light and dark theme colors and they are fixed.

A more modern approach is to respect the current system theme and adapt the colors accordingly. https://tagesschau.de is a great example here.

I wish Sleekplan would let us define colors for both light and dark theme.

@stefan this is a great suggestion! I think we can add this in addition to (dark, light, ..system)

However, I think your second point [...]would let us define colors for both light and dark theme[...] is mandatory to make this happen. Otherwise, custom colors could conflict with one of the themes.

@paul_sleekplan Yes, I was thinking about something like this mockup.

So customers can define if they want a fixed light or dark theme or just let the user decide. That's what you see in a lot of recent apps.
