August was about giving your board more room to think. Three big features landed: a home for the reasoning behind your feedback, a second axis for what a post is actually about, and statuses detailed enough for your team without confusing your customers. Behind them, a long run of email, portal and settings work that mostly makes itself invisible. Here is everything. 🚀 Highlights Documents — the thinking behind your feedback, in one place A feedback post tells you what someone asked for. It can't hold the research you did or the reason you went the other way. Documents can: internal PRDs, specs, plans and decision records, linked to the posts they inform, with eight built-in types, word-level version history and restore. Components — the second axis your board was missing Your categories say what kind of request something is. Components say which part of your product it's about. A post can now be a Bug about your API, with its own filter, its own colors, segment scoping and an optional public side — without spending your category on it. Internal statuses Run In Review, Needs Investigation and Ready for QA as separate stages while all three read as In Progress to the person who asked for the feature. Moving a post between two internal stages sends no email, because nothing changed for them. 🆕 Features Directory Sync (SCIM) — connect Okta, Entra ID, OneLogin or any SCIM directory and let your identity provider handle joiners and leavers, for your team seats or your portal users. Intercom Messenger → your portal, already signed in. One button in your Messenger opens your Sleekplan portal with the visitor authenticated, so they can vote and comment straight away. It lands on whatever you set as your start page, inside the messenger or in a new tab. Safer deleting. Deleting a status, category or component now asks where its posts should move, so nothing is left without one. Turn things off instead of deleting them. A status, category or component can be switched off: it stays on existing posts, it just can't be picked anymore. Turn it back on anytime. ✅ Improvements Approve or reject a moderated post directly from its badge, without opening it. Settings now has a search box — type what you're looking for, even a word like "webhook" or "SSO" that isn't a page name, and the menu narrows to the pages that have it. Modules now live on their own settings page under Public Portal & Widget, next to the pages they actually affect, instead of being buried in General. Your portal now fits phone screens properly: the roadmap stacks its columns one below the other instead of squeezing them into narrow strips, and the top navigation stays compact instead of spilling onto three rows. Downgrading no longer removes your custom statuses, categories, components or category templates. They stay exactly as you left them and are simply locked until you upgrade again, so nothing has to be rebuilt. The Emails tab on a customer now shows what happened to each notification — sent, bounced, or not sent at all. Emails now leave from your custom domain only once its DNS records are verified. Until they are, notifications come from Sleekplan and still arrive, instead of being rejected on the way out — and the settings page tells you which of the two steps is still outstanding. Notification emails now go out at a steady pace even while a large changelog announcement is sending. A new safeguard for monthly email limits. You're warned as you approach your plan's limit. Notification emails only pause if a workspace goes well past it, and resume at the next monthly reset. Sign-in codes are never affected. You can now run up to four SSO connections per SAML add-on. Sleek Mate offers a document when one would help, instead of creating it unasked. Dropdown menus inside dialogs no longer get cut off. 🔥 Bug fixes Fixed a mail pipeline issue that could send duplicate notification emails. Emails with attachments no longer stall when a file can't be fetched, and a file that fails to load is left off rather than arriving empty. Re-sending an email after fixing a sender address problem now works, instead of being skipped without warning. The Resend verification email button on a custom sending domain now actually sends to that address. A custom sending domain whose DNS check had timed out now starts checking again on its own, instead of leaving you with records that could never turn green. The "Email notifications" switch on the portal account page now shows each user's true setting, instead of always appearing off. The changelog Subscribe button and your account's notification settings now always show your real subscription state — signing in no longer leaves them out of date, and saving your profile can't switch changelog emails off by accident. Going straight to the account page on your portal while signed in no longer puts a sign-in box you can't close on top of your own profile. @ mentions now work when commenting from the post panel on your feedback portal — the suggestion list no longer hides behind the panel, and it follows your dark mode everywhere. Comment counts no longer include internal notes, so the number matches the visible discussion. Changes you just saved always show immediately instead of occasionally lagging behind. Draft and scheduled changelog entries now stay hidden on the portal until you publish them. The new portal layout now loads inside embedded integrations such as Intercom, instead of being refused. Previously only the Flat and Boxed layouts worked there. The Intercom sidebar app no longer errors out when it can't match the workspace or find the contact. Activity feeds now show when someone unsubscribes from your changelog — previously every changelog subscription event read as a subscribe.
